2 PPCLI Receives New Queen’s Colour

SHILO, MANITOBA – The Second Battalion Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (2 PPCLI) received a new Queen’s Colour in a ceremony at Canadian Forces Base Shilo today.

The formal ceremony was presided over by the Right Honourable Adrienne Clarkson, Colonel-in-Chief of the PPCLI.

Quick Facts

  • The last Queen’s Colour of the 2 PPCLI was received and consecrated in 1991.
  • The new Queen’s Colour was consecrated now so it can be taken with the unit when it conducts public duties outside Buckingham Palace, St James Palace, the Tower of London, and Winsor Palace in London, UK, this summer.
